I personally prepare your application myself because “how” you present your story is the most important factor in determining your success. You can easily hire a crackerjack lawyer to fill out a loan modification application and submit it for you—but that’s really not going to do any good.
Here’s the reality: most people just can’t give you the insight I can because their neck has never been on the line. I’ve been through this so many times that I can quickly take your information and present it in the best possible light.
It’s sort of like doing your taxes…
… a good CPA will figure out how to get you cash back at the end of the year. A bad one hands you a big fat bill from the IRS. My main role here is to help you show or not show all the right info to fix your loan quickly.
Here’s what happens after your application is complete:
From here, we go through a very short pre-qualification process (generally a 48 hour wait), and if everything is green lights (meaning it’s extremely likely you’ll get a great loan mod), then your application is submitted along with payment, and all the follow up and correspondence is done by a paralegal who reports to us with real-time tracking of progress.
NOTE: If you’d like a lawyer to represent you, it’s roughly $500 more (depending on your state), but in most cases, bringing a lawyer in is not helpful and can actually just complicate things.
So that’s how it works.
